The internet is awash with negative news stories and bitter arguments in the comments section. It’s nice to find something that’s just lovely.
Minimiam is a collection of dioramas set up by husband and wife team Akiko Ida and Pierre Javelle, imagining a miniature world in which tiny heroes go about their business in a landscape made of food.
Most set-ups involve a close-up photo and then a slightly zoomed-out one where more is revealed about the scene.
Akiko and Pierre regularly do commissions for magazines and advertisers so you’ll almost certainly have seen their work around.
Words can’t really do justice to the loveliness though, so your best bet is to visit the site itself: marvel at little things.
